If you’re an exhibition regular, you’ll be looking for dynamic, reusable and logistically sound elements for your exhibition displays – that’s where fabric displays come into play.
Exhibitions are a great opportunity to showcase your business directly to suppliers, consumers and other bodies within your industry. If you’re an exhibition regular, you’ll be looking for dynamic, reusable and logistically sound elements for your custom exhibition stands – that’s where fabric display stands come into play.
Traditional exhibition displays are heavy and high maintenance
Many exhibition displays can be heavy and cumbersome whether they are made of metal or wood. Because of their material and the way in which they have to be assembled, you will often find that your exhibition displays are packaged large and heavy containers with a lot of parts. As a result, you may find that setting up times are a number of hours and requires multiple people to do it. You’re left with more parts meaning more can get lost or go wrong.
Traditional print materials can also be quite heavy, large roll up banner stands for instance can be difficult to carry and correctly pack, especially as you’d need multiple panels for larger displays. Despite being heavy duty, such print materials are easily damaged and must be laminated for protection (at an additional cost).
Fabric displays are incredibly light and easy to look after
Fabric displays weigh around ⅓ of a traditional display or banner stand of the same size. These innovative exhibition displays are also very easy to assemble and are very easily packed/transported. Our most popular; The Formulate Monolith (link) only has 9 lightweight metal pieces and the fabric sleeve. The fabric itself is very easily cleaned, using a regular washing machine and dryer. They can also be ironed with traditional irons or steamers (if they’re already put on).
Replacement fabrics are inexpensive
If you need to replace a fabric display, you can inexpensively order the same fabric sleeve and design. In other traditional banners, the displays are the most expensive part meaning that if you lose that part of the banner stand; you’ll have to pay out significantly more. This also leaves you with the option to order multiple sleeves which you could rotate based on your different display tactics.
Fabric display structures are stronger
A fabric display used a fabric sleeve, which is brought over the metal framework and is stretched, to hug the framework tightly. Our fabric displays use a zip at the bottom to ensure no further movement of the material. More traditional banner stands use magnets, Velcro or screws to keep their displays in place, which can come undone throughout a long day at the exhibition.
Tubular construction is both strong and lightweight, and easily put together
The metal framework is made of aluminium tubing, with an elastic rope running through the tubes keeping the pieces together. Combined with the fact that each part is numbered 1-8, this makes construction, deconstruction and transportation incredibly easy.
